這不是愛稀奇瞎掰，而是肯亞首都奈洛比一幫設計師已經鼓搗出的有趣玩意——當然，必須承認，單靠塑膠瓶本身是沒可能產生電力的，除非你拿著它使勁地在毛衣上摩擦……真正要實現開頭說的那些效果，還需要一些配件和龍套的幫助。
首先介紹配件先生。這是一套名為“塑膠瓶充電器”（The Bottle Charger）的設備，看上去像是帶著長長探針的奇怪儀錶。而跑龍套的，就是一壺開水了。使用的時候，先將開水倒入塑膠瓶，然後插入充電器，電力就能神奇地產生~據說，依據開水和環境的溫差，整個設備大概能產生大概5瓦的電量，支撐普通手機使用約15到30分鐘。
究其原理，大概就是利用溫差在發電，塑膠瓶子作為熱源的容器，反覆加入開水，就能不斷獲得電力。和愛稀奇之前介紹的發電杯墊類似。
